Tax Relief Associates
Ripoff

I saw an ad for Tax Relief Associates on my E mail. I unfortunately, owe a substantial amount of back payroll taxes, which I am unable to pay, and the person I spoke to when I called Tax Relief Assn. Told me I had an excellent case for offer and compromise because I am ill with a potentially fatal affliction, which I am on chemo therapy for.

I sent them, by fax, a check for $1850.00 that day. I called them a week later and was told by a man named Ernie Aquayo that they were filing my 2004 returns immediately.

I kept recieving urgent letters from the IRS, and I called several times to let Ernie know and he said not to worry, that they would still send letters, and that everything I recieved, they recieved as well and not to worry.

I have been missing a lot of work because this poison makes me sick and I was gone from work when the payroll department of my company sent over the tax lien information. When I was handed my paycheck, I was extremely dismayed to see that a lien took 3/4 of my pay.

I didn't have the phone number for Tax relief Associates with me, so I immediately went home to call them. When I did I was dismayed, to say the least, that thier phone number just rang and rang, and the 1-800 number I called said it was a disconnected #.

I immediately called the IRS only to find out my 2004 return was never filed and they had no contact at all from this company. Now I have to pay over $400.00 dollars a month for 5 years and they won't take off the lien until I file my 2004 return, which I am doing.

I was stupid to not check out thier credentials before I paid them, but I really believed the person I spoke with could help me. He even put me on hold for a moment, then came back and said he looked at some tax information to determine my chances of an Offer and compromise and I had a great case. He said I would pay about $500.00 to $3.000.00 and that I could pay $20.00 a month payments to settle my tax bill.

I wish I would have found this website before I let myself be taken.

Do not do business with these vultures who prey upon poor people who are trying to recieve help for their problem.

I responded to Joel in California's rip off report, and spoke to him about a class action suit against this scum.

Please, if you were ripped off from this company, contact Joel as well. We need to put crooks like this out of business, even in jail.
