Career Builder does have legitimate job postings.
However, they also have a lot of "non-jobs" - absurd and bizarre listings designed to get people's attention that don't really have a job behind them. A recent (June) listing included these "jobs" (sic):
"Go Yankees"
"How to Annoy Your Co-Workers" (THAT'S real smart)
And
"Sick of Folding Clothes?"
More insidiously, they also allow "career counselors" to post totally false job listings that are simply a mechanism for those organizations to get your resume and personal information, which is then used to solicit your business. One organization, called "Executive Career Moves" does this on Career Builder, listing "Marketing Management" positions. But if you respond, they try to get you to come into one of their offices for an "interview" and sell you a "career package" costing many thousands of dollars, and not pertaining to ANY actual job. Charlatans!
BEWARE of any and all listings on Career Builder. They clearly don't screen anything, and don't seem to care about all the scams on their site.
