On April my shipment arrived in California from Singapore. The forwarder handling the US front of my shipment is AE Jets, International LLC to deliver in Jersey City, NJ.initially AE Jets asked me to pay for IT, Customs Clearance, 3299, Bond, ABI Customs, etc. Amounting to $465. Though I have paid for a door-to-door delivery to my Agent from Singapore, I still paid AE Jets via Money Order because they are claiming that my Singapore Agent did not pay them and I need my stuff as soon as possible (I just thought I would settle first and will refund from my agent in Singapore.).
Custom Clearance was not processed on time by AE Jets even if payment has been made for the processing which resulted to additional charges (Warehouse, and GO Customs and Handling) of $681. I AGAIN paid these additional charges just so I can get my shipment.
I have been dealing with a person called Erik Doesburg from AE Jets and this guy has been negligent in letting me know the status of my shipment (except when he has to ask for payment!!! & all that via email only), document processing with US Customs & the shipment release from the St George Warehouse (NJ warehouse that my shipments are now on hold).
Last communication I got from AE Jets is that they will only pay $405 out of all the payments I have made which means, I will pay AGAIN the remaining charges due to St. George Warehouse (At this point, I am still unsure as to what will happen to the almost $800 dollars excess payment I've made to AE Jets, hopefully they will refund). To top it all of, I will have to arrange for a pick up of my own shipments otherwise... I have to pay additional charges to use AE Jets' delivery services AGAIN!!!
I should have received my shipment latest first week of May without all the above charges. Now, I am not even sure when I will see my shipment again. I just want my shipment... Without paying additional charges on top of the over $1000 I've already paid for.
I advise everybody to be cautious in obtaining the moving services of AE Jets, International LLC. If you have to use them at all, ensure that you have all your correspondences with them to support potential claims or lawsuit that you may have.
