I purchased and have been paying for encyclopedias through the Scholastic Book organization. A couple months ago I received a bill stating that I was had made a partial payment and that an amount was due immediately. I promptly made the payment, thinking that I had overlooked a monthly.
I recently returned from vacation to find another bill with the same information. I checked my paid bill file to see if something had crossed in the mail and noticed that I was getting billed under two different account numbers. Of course, there is not a phone number to call for a live person, instead just a website to go to, to make a payment with my credit/debit card, how convenient.
Upon going to the site to make an inquiry as to my account, I was referred to the usacomplaints.com site confirming my fears that I have been had by a normally reputable company.
You should be ashamed of youself. I have bought numerous books from Scholastic for my children and their schools. Please get your act together and save face with the public. Atleast make a phone number available to handle inquiries.
