I thought I was signing up for a free credit report. Then I received charges of $9.95 two consecutive months for no service whatsoever.
Checking google I saw that many people had had the same experience with this company.in trying to cancel from them, I called their 800 number and was given an e-mail with which to cancel.
When I wrote to that e-mail, it wasn't a good address. I called again and was directed to select "4" in order to cancel. When I did that, I was disconnected.
Finally I called my credit card company (Visa) who seemed to know the company I was having trouble with and they connected me to a representative. This representative wanted my S.S.# and my mother's maiden name or said they could not cancel my account. I did wind up giving them my mother's maiden name and the last 4 numbers of my S.S.#. I was told that the "service" was cancelled and I would get a refund in 4-7 days. Will see.
I told the representative that I didn't trust the company at all and that even though she needed the $ it couldn't be good for her to be working for such a company. She avered that she was happy to work for them.
I intend to contact the Colorado Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and would like to be part of a class action suite against this rip-off company.
