I was almost 'took' by the smooth talking of the local office. I went in for a first 'interview' and was led to believe that I had the goods to land a six-figure income position. For the next one I was told to bring my wife, it seemed odd, but she couldn't make it anyway. At the second intervied I was told their upfront fee is $5200, but for most of their clients, that's the 'least of their concern'. I told him that for me it was a concern, especially since I don't believe in going into debt to get a job. I suggested that if I got a job through them, I'd give them 10% of my first year's salary, but he said they don't do it like that. (Maybe he knew that I'd be a stretch for me to get a job through them).
That evening, I decided with my wife to go ahead and pay the fee, but thank God, I did a search online for 'Bernard Haldane rip off' and immediately saw the results. I didn't go to the appointment the following morning, and no one called - but if they do, I'll tell them I don't need their services and that they should be ashamed of themselves for even being in business.
