I gotta tell you this as its so crazy. So in Duluth/Atlanta we have this large indian/pakistani group and hence there are many ethnic grocery stores to adhere to their taste.
These ethnic stores, specifically in the Duluth area and namely Apna Bazaar on Satellite Pointe and Iqra on Indian Trail (the ones I have been to), rent and sell pirated movies!!! And what is worse, the DVDs they rent, they copy it onto VHS (without permission as can be seen by the poor copies of the VHS) and rent and sell those to consumers!!!
About expired food - this one store above sells indian packaged foods. I wanted to try those, however the expiration date on that was June (I had gone in October), I told the store manager about this and he said he will remove it. The next day that same packet was there. And no, it was not just one packet but a whole box of expired stuff.
And dont even think about trying to pay with a credit card if you dont buy stuff that amounts to less than $10!!! Visa/Mastercard say this is wrong but obviously they will not go out of the way to do anything about it.
And do NOT ever buy any bottled drink from these stores. My roommate bought a Thumbs Up (Indian Coke) bottle and on opening it found traces of rust at the mouth!!! I reported this to the FDA and they said its not safe to drink this.
I also reported the piracy to the BBB and the MPAA and they said they will look into it!!!
