Ripoff fraudulent deceitful dishonest fraud cheat terrible disreputable horrible reprehensible

I was informed by Safari Moving that my goods would be shipped to Boston from California "within hours" on August 5th and that it would arrive Monday through Wednesday of the next week. Relying on this information, I booked early airline tickets for my family (including a 1 year old son), and paid additional rent on our apartment in Boston which was originally scheduled to be leased starting later in the month.

The goods did not arrive as planned, and after I placed numerous unanswered calls to Safari, I received a call back from Gary Aviv, owner of Safari, on Wed. 11th. Gary informed me that my driver was sick and consumed with vomitting. Gary informed me that my goods were delayed, but he didn't know until when. My goods did not arrive until the 17th, well over a week after they we were promised to first arrive.

In reality, it turns out that the truck had actually crashed, and that there was no illness with the driver as Gary had asserted. Shai Blum called and informed me that he was the president and CEO of Safari, and he apologized for the crash and previous misrepresentation by Gary Aviv. Shai claimed that the accident was another party's fault and he requested that I send him a list of my damaged goods so that he could turn it in to the other company's insurer. After sending in a detailed list, Shai told me that he was willing to offer $1,500 in immediate compensation, and would be willing to pay the rest of the value of my goods after he settled with the other party's insurance company.

Bsed on the recorded testimony of a Safari employee, there was no other party involved in the crash. I was told that a Safari employee fell asleep at the wheel, damaging the goods of at least 4 parties including myself. Gary Aviv, Shai Blum, and Safari Moving are the single most reprehensible and fraudulent persons/company that I have ever dealt with - bar none.

The public at large will be well served to understand the truly reprehensible business practices that Safari engages in. I hope that all consumers are warned of the danger of doing business with this company.
