I have come to know a great customer that has purchased a puppy from me. Although i too am leary of purchasing and placing puppies via the interent, i feel it my duty as a breeder to stand up for all the descent breeders out their and the great puppy parents of this world. I have been known to say that the word breeder has become quite a taboo in our society.
This is due to all the puppy mills and horrific scenes we see these poor creatures going through at the hands of horrible humans. But now these horrible humans are taking it to another level. They are ripping people off and they have to be stopped in their tracks. My puppy parents purchased a puppy that ws not even a week old in nov / o4.. They never recieved it and they have not been reimburssed by this lady. Jan reinhart.
I have all the emails that she has sent and am thorouhgly disgusted in her busneiss practice. She claims the puppy got keenel cough and offered them another puppy from an upcoming breeding... They opted to ask for a refund which she agredd too. But after going over the emails she also indicates that she on occassion gives refunds but they are in payment form. Which is highly unethical seeing as my puppy parents paid her in full at teh tune of 950, plus the paypal charges. So if they paid it all at once in full. They should recieve a refund at at once.! I went a visited her website. It appears from the look of her home. They are not doing to badly at all.
This could be attributed to her selling dogs [the same dog] to more than one person and to the highest payer. While the rest sit back and recieve rare communucation with her with every excuse under teh sun. The first thing to all prospective puppy parents. No po boxes... If someone is not willing have you send their paymnet directly to their home address. Then i would think tht would be strange... I want an address of where my money is going... Perhaps she did give it some. But always get a physical address. Second. Get references... I am sure these types of breeders have good ref aswell from the people that indeed got their puppy but ask for 10 email addresses..
I am always happy to provide anyhtring for my puppy parents that will assure them. I am honest... The next thing call the better business bureu and see if they have any complaints filed against thme and are pending. If they are akc reg. Call the akc and check to see if complaints have been filed there aswell. For any breeders that have puppy parents as i do that have been ripped off file a report too... We have got to stand behind the great puppy parents so they too willknow there are great breeders out there... I charge a hihger price for my puppies than most. But i always explain to eacha nd every puppy parent. That you are not only getting a puppy from our palce you get me for the life of the dog should the need arise.
I always send my contract out. If there is anyhting that my puppy parents feel unsure ofor i ahve missed anyhting. I offer to go over itwith them and adjust things to fit their needs... So i am asking everyone who has been rippied off by this gal. To stand up and make your voice heard. If enough of us get to gether on this thing we should be able to make her do the right thing. Last but not least. Do not give up on us breeders. The good ones the ones that are fighting to put integrity back in the word as it should be.
To jan reinhart. You should be ashamed of yourself. I have read all of your correspondes with my puppyparents and am appauled at your business pratices and hope sincerly that you will be shut down. I am making this a personal mission to contact everyone i can to ensure the akc, ckc apr and all regisrties are alerted and will check you out.
Not to mention you rlocal authoritiues. I do not have to know you personllay nor do i want to, but you need not be breeding and using poor defenseless puppies as your scam. To all the breeders and puppy parents that are aware of this lady, s conduct..
