I used FreightQuote.com to ship some lighting equipment. The price seemed reasonable and came recommended through eBay. However, the service I received from a sales rep name Joseph Meis was horrible. He was not helpful in any area other than getting me a quote and charging my account. Everything else and question I had was left up to me to figure out. He was full of excuses and no answers or solutions.
After shipping the equipment I was told by the representative that the freight was unable to be delivered on time because of "congestion in traffic." The road the delivery was setup on is never congested so the issue seemed confusing. A few days later we were told another story about why the freight was never delivered... It was then because no one was on site to accept the deliver, which again was not true!
At this point, 8 days pass the excepted arrival time, we were told that we going to be charged for a re-delivery fee and some extra charges!
I tried to get in touch with freightquote.com and anyone who would listen to my complaint, but it feel on deaf ears.
Do not use there services! They do not care about you, they are in business to provide a medium for 3rd party carriers. Work directly with a carrier to get better service. Beware!
