Digital camera from Cameta Camera - Expensive digital camera

I purchased a digital camera and paid $25 for Fedex 2nd day delivery. The purchase date was 12/23 and the item based on tracking information was supposed to be delivered by 8 pm on 12/26. After spending the whole day at home to receive the item (to risky to sign off for Fedex to leave item on outside front porch) to my total disappointment the item never arrived and Fedex never called me to let me know that the item would not be delivered on 12/26. To me this is unacceptable because tracking showed that the item had arrived in East Boston, and my house is approximately 20 minutes from East Boston. So what this means is that I will need to be home all day on 12/27 until 8 pm with the hope that Fedex will deliver the item. But again there's absolutely no guarantee that they will deliver.in my opinion, the government should pass a bill that would penalize companies like Fedex for breach of contract.in contrast to Fedex, Cameta Camera shipped the camera on date promised.
