Lies to Customers

This is the letter i wrote to corporate. It explains the whole situation. I have had no response from them yet and here it is a year later... Ok here we go. I made a
complaint over the phone about this situation last December.
I put several items on layaway for Christmas. One of those
items was a brown hair blue eye cabbage patch doll with
pajamas on. Well the day I went in to pick up my layaway, I
as in a rush because I was on my lunch break from work. I
get my stuff and as I am putting it into my car I noticed
the doll had red hair and green eyes and an ugly mermaids
outfit on. I go back into the store and they act all dumb
like oh I don't know how that happened. I said well you
need to fix it. I live by the Pittsburg location and drove
all the way to the pleasant hill location because they had
the doll I wanted. I was already late getting back to work
because of this so I lost money there. The manager said she
would call me after she looked around. A few hours go by so
I call her and she says she can't find it. I then asked
when the next shipment was and she said Friday. I said fine
I will call the manager on Saturday and have them look for
the doll I wanted then. She told me to ask for Aaron. So
Saturday morning we decide to just drive over there. I ask
for Aaron and I am told he is running late. So this other
manager comes over and she knew about the situation. So she
goes in the back and comes out with a ballerina one. Brown
hair an blue eyes but the outfit is ugly. So I told her let
me talk to my husband. She said ok and she would be right
back. A few minutes later she comes back and offers us a
pair of pajamas for the doll plus she tells us she will make
it right. We take the doll and pajamas and she will find me
the doll I really wanted and ship it to my house. We said
that's fine. So I give her my address and would not
charge me for the doll or shipping. Ok so this was sometime
in December. Well the weeks go by and no doll. So I think it
was in February or March I sent a letter explaining what
happened and what we were promised to the store attention
manager. I got no response what so ever. No call no letter
no doll no nothing. What kind of business are you people
running when stuff gets switched from bags in layaway and
then your workers try to cover it up by putting a different
doll in the bag and then promise thing an don't follow
through. I now feel that I was lied to that Saturday just
to get me out of the store without a scene. I really hope
someone here does something about this or I will continue
doing my business elsewhere.
