Extended warranty on Kurio 7" Tablet - Kurio

I purchased the Buyer protection plan after being assured that it would cover any issue related to the product for a period of 24 months. I have kept my receipt, ALL original packaging my protection plan brochure - everything including the box. I called the toll free number and was told to call the manufacturer. They cannot help me as its covered by the manufacturer for the first year. I told them that when I purchased it I asked that specific question. The Toys R us employee was adamant that it would be replaced with a gift card and nearly everything was covered by this warranty after the 45 day refund from the store with receipt ended. Feeling confident that the warranty would cover any issue that may arise - I paid an additional $34.99 for this "protection". This warranty is completely worthless and a complete waste of money. What bothers me most though is Toys R Us is lying to their customers. BTW - I wanted to exchange this due to an issue with the product freezing up and an issue with a foreign game on the screen that we can't get out of. Please do not purchase this tablet. Go with any other tablet before wasting your money on this piece of garbage.
