I, Two, was ripped off by this company called Digital Wireless Technologies. Someone sent me an email with an offer for Satelite called DISH Network Digital Dynamite. My credit card was charged for $49.99 for the package that was to include Free Standard Professional Installation, my first month of programming and lifetime in home service. I was told that after the first 30 days, I would be required to make a one year commitment to DISH NETWORK. I was also told that as a special thanks for ordering I would also receive three months of premium movies at no additional charge. I was told to call Dish Network and set up my free installation once my certificate arrived in the mail. When the certificate arrived, I called Dish Network and they told me that they had never heard of this offer and that the bar code listed on the certificate was invalid. I attempted to contact Digital Wireless Technologies Inc. To inquire about a refund only to find out that the number given to me was not valid.
I went on the internet and put in the company's name and found this website... To my dismay, I found out through this site that the company was no longer in existance.
Is there something that we can do about this and is there anyway that we, the consumers who have been "Ripped Off" get our refunds back?
Please help or stir us in the right direction.
