$50.00 credit from B&N - Nook e-reade

I purchased a NOOK HD from Barnes and Noble from their website. There was a promotion at the time that with the purchase a $50.00 credit to Barnes and Noble was included. Shortly after the purchase I received and email from B&N reminding me to register my Nook once I had received it to qualify for the $50.00 credit. Once I received the Nook in the mail I registered the Nook and shortly after received an email from B&N comfirming my registration and reminding me to check my email within the next few days for the arrival of the credit. After a few days of not receiving my credit I sent an email to B&N asking how long it takes for the credit to arrive. The reply they sent back said it could take 3-10 days. After the 10 days had passed and the credit hadn't arrived I sent another email inquiring about the delay. They replied with an apology and stated it would be 1-2 days. Following a few more days wait, I sent yet another email. They replied and stated it was now a technical issue and the issue would soon be resolved. Then out of the blue I received an email from the stating that I had magically missed the time frame to purchase a Nook and receive the credit by 2 days and was no longer eligible for the credit. I sent yet another email questioning them about why they had sent me reminders in the past and assurances in the past that I was getting the credit. Now they just continue to send me the same cookie cutter email stating I've missed the date by 2 days. Has anybody else experienced this type of problem and lies from B&N?
