I went into Aldo Shoes at Bayshore Shopping Center in Ottawa, hoping to find a pair of boots in my size that I had seen at another location. The sales clerk found them at two other stores and said she would have a pair transfered and call when they came in. I hadn't heard anything, so I stopped in and inquired. The same clerk was there. She said she was busy that day and did not call in the order. When I said "That was a week ago" she said it must have been someone else's order she hadn't called in. She checked, but could not find the order slip. Again, she said she had been busy. I said that I did not understand how she could have been busy for a week. She said she would call if I still wanted them. I told her there were only two left at the time, and they were probably out of stock. She offered to try again on Monday - this was Saturday. I said "Don't bother. You just lost a really good customer." Only then did she say "I'm sorry." but it was way too late. Everyone forgets. If she has started with "I'm sorry sir. I was really busy and I forgot. If you like, I will call right now to see if they are still available" I would have been disappointed, but understanding.instead I was angry - and I won't be back. They have lost a really good customer. I buy all of my shoes at Aldo - well, I used to.
