When a small payment (under 50 dollars) was missed because of falling for the "save the tree" scam, I contacted Kohl's immediatly, paid the bill and the representatlve cheerfully removed late fees and interest charges. I've charged hundreds of dollars at Kohl's over the years and with mailed statements have never missed a payment.
A few weeks later I routinely pulled my credit report, and found Kohl's credit had reported me 30 days late... Dropping my 800 credit score to the mid 700s. I contacted Kohls credit again, they submitted a request on my behalf to have this blemish removed. They wouldnt do it. I made a 2nd request, again the form letter that might as well have said, "we dont value you as a customer." Third request this evening, but I already know where that will go... Nowhere... I just contacted the consumer protection division of pa state attorney's office... Will wait for a replay. I sent a link to this website, to show their office that this is not an isolated incident. Spread the word and keep fighting, we have a right to be mad!
