Ripoff parents of young children

I too heard about the Starbiz baby/toddler auditions over the radio. I thought it would be a good opportunity to look into for my son.

I went to the audition and waited with the other 50 or so hopeful parents.By the end of the audition process and call backs I was rejoiced to hear that my child had been chosen (supposedly one of the few).

I was concerned about the cost ($685.00). My husband and I couldn't afford it. So after meeting with Julie Johnson and discussing the contract, my mother paid the fee. We were told that my son would have no trouble recouping the money through assignments.

The contract amoung other things promised 50-8X10 Black and White headshots. I never received them! I waited 8 weeks and got a disc of color photos.

I've since gone to another talent agency and they told me the photos were not professional quality and didn't make for a proper industry headshot. What did we pay for? My mom dished out $685.

It's ridiculous! Starbiz has not honored their own contract and they are taking advantage of the parents in our community.

I would love to know how I could get our money back...
