August of 3 Sam Grose of Sunrooms Unlimited gave me an estimate to work on 2 bathrooms in my home of $6620.00. On 8-17-12 I paid a deposit of $2419.00 and waited for work to start. After being put off for 2 months he asked for a start of job check for $1210.00. I paid him $36629.00 but he never started the job.
After waitning and asking when they would start the job for 2 more months, and being told soon, I finally asked for my money back so I could hire someone else who could and would do the work. Sam told me he didn't have the money that he put it in his company and he could sue me for backing out of the contract this late. What he wrote up is simply a proposal, not a contract.
After that threat, he stopped answering all of my calls and texts. I guess he thinks he is just going to keep $3629.00 and do nothing to earn it.
I am hiring an attorney and going to sue.
He is listed as the manager and not owner and I am told the reason is because he isn't allowed.
Other businesses he's had and had trouble in are Florida Patio & Sunrooms and Pittsburgh Patio & Sunrooms. The phone numbers are bogus and his address is a post office box. This business is a scam all the way around and when he gets in trouble with one, he chjanges the name and scams people all over again.
