I went into Hair raizers for a quick blow out... I wanted my hair wet down and blow dried. Tiki, a stylist there, got a flat iron out and proceeded to flat iron my hair for 20 to 25 minutes. Since my hair had only been flat ironed once, years ago, I didn't realize that a flat iron could burn hair. Tiki was distracted during the flat ironing and at one point talked on her cell phone. I noticed my hair was sticking out weirdly as well as the color looking different. I asked about this but was told it is normal when flat ironing. I paid, got out to the car and noticed my hair smelled wierd... It was singed! I called the salon and the owner blew me off... A few days later I went into the salon and showed them my hair. Immediately they got defensive and refused to take responsibility. I went to another salon and had my hair deep conditioned and some of the singed hair cut off (the rest will have to be cut off as new hair grows in.)
The total cost including hair products to repair my hair was over $200. I wrote a letter to Hair Raizers requesting $79 for the deep conditioning, hair cut, and the $15 dollars I paid Hair Raizers.
Hair Raizers has refused to pay me back. They told me that my hair was fragile and I should have known this. They even refuse to pay me back the $15. They are not taking any responsibility, at all, for singing my hair.
