To whom it may concern,

Last month on November 9th Ipurchased a 3 month old Siberian Husky from Shake a Paw Puppies in Hicksvilles Delco Plaza Shopping Center. He was beautiful and I instantly fell in love so I decided to make a very large investment and spent over $2,000 for the little guy thinking he was happy and healthy like all the people at Shake a Paw had promised me.

Turns out the night I take him home everything is okay but he begins to have diarrhea.

Thinking it was just because he was stressed and in a new environment I thought nothing of it. The next day it proceeds to get worse and he is having chronic diarrhea as well as vomiting the next day. I figured it would probably be a good idea to take him to the vet so I decided to use the vet the pet store recommended. So on the 12th of November my dog Leo was in the vet for the first time, 3 days after I purchased him.

They did everything I thought they could and decided that it was probably just a food allergy. At 3 months old this vet put my dog on prescription W/D food that is normally for full grown adult dogs with diabetes as well as sent me home with what they told me was just a medicine to help his stomach. After that first time at the vet I had to bring Leo back 4 more additional times for them to tell me the same exact thing over and over again.

On the very last time he was there on Sunday December 9th they decided to do a fecal test again. Not to mention the fact
that every single time I was at that vet I saw a different doctor and had to explain everything all over again just for them to tell me the same things. I had a very bad feeling about the pet store and the vet they recommended so I decided to go to another vet.

The new vet proceeded to tell me that she is positive something is wrong with the dog and he most likely has more than 1
parasite and mentioned the possibility of him having the Parvo virus which I had never heard of before. She also let me know that he was very much so underweight which the other vets never said to me.

There were a few things they never mentioned to me. I told them that he runs funny on our tile floor, she giggled a little and told me about things that can normally happen to big dogs hips but only when they're older. 2 things my new vet told me that the old vet had in their notes were 1. They did in fact feel something wrong with his hips

2. They mentioned the parvo virus.

Both things they did not speak with me about and I feel they were leaving me in the dark for a reason. Turns out my poor dog
in this entire draining process (during which I missed 6 days of work to take care of him) has a parasite called Giardia which is in fact able to infect humans as well. When I found this out I was appalled that it took 21 days and 5 vet visits for these negligent people to tell me this. I called the pet store the day before I found out about this news because my poor dog was projectile vomiting all day and I wanted an explanation.

I spoke with the manager at the store Anthony who was very rude and in his exact words said "Well not to point fingers but when a dog is throwing up like that its because he ate something he shouldn't have" I proceeded to tell him that he has no idea what he is talking about because this has been an ongoing issue since the first day I brought him home with me and I watch him 24/7. Anthony continued to tell me that this was the first time he is hearing about it so there's nothing he can do right now.

After badgering him he agreed to call the vet and then call me back. A guy named James claiming to be the owner called back much later on that night on a number I told him not to call because I will not get the message. I did receive the message the next day after finding out about the illness my dog has and decided to call him back. When I called back he said that he had spoken with West Hills (the vet) and they decided they will hospitalize Leo and Shake a Paw will cover the charge, I told him there's no need for that considering the fact that I already brought him to a new vet who figured everything out within one visit and is already taking care of it.

I asked that he please take responsibility and cover the ridiculous amount of bills I've been acquiring with Leo and not to mention all the days of work I had missed to take care of this sick dog. James continued to get loud with me and tell me that the dog is not sick he just has a parasite which is normal (I am pretty sure excessive vomiting, diarrhea, and a parasite that is contagious to both me my boyfriend and the rest of my family is not anywhere near normal. My new vet agrees with me on that as well.) and that they will not cover any of the costs at any other vet, only West Hills.

James said "the most that I could do is see if we could possibly give you a credit for just the medicine but that is even a stretch" I asked him if he is absolutely sure that is the route he wants to take with this? He said yes. I followed with okay you will be hearing from my attorney then. The fact is Shake a Paw sold me a sick puppy and claimed it was healthy as well as recommending a Veterinary office that has no clue what they are doing.
