The State Bar Complaint Resolution Dept. Rejected my complaint claiming I had not sent a fee agreement. Since the Attorney had these in the file why put the burden on the client?
Regardless of any agreement the failure of an attorney to enter a substitution of Attorney form is rampant in Santa Cruz.
This attorney missed every single court date, failed to file any child support, or custody response, resulting in obstruction of $24,000 in arrears owed me from a child support fugitive. The one time in 7 years the fugitive parent was in town for service of an OSC, Jeffrey H Hancock failed to appear. I believe the negligence was a federal offense obstruction of justice, since the fugitive arrainged an ex parte continuance with the court and DCSS. Robert Frandeen Esq. Of Santa Cruz actually committed three federal offense ex parte obstruction of justice offenses by tampering the child support calendar in Dept. 10 and one count in the OSC for Contempt, due to Mr. Hancock's negligence in failing to appear.
The Bar Complaint process was useless, ineffective and consisted of puppeting Mr. Hancock's pathetic excuses for doing zero work output. "He was planning on filing a motion document"
After 90 days and 2 missed dates I terminated him and asked for the balance of my retainer.
The complaint is theft of $2,500.By failing to perform tasks hired for.
The Law Offices of Jeffrey Hancock are set for picket on Nov. 12 if fees and damages are not received.
The State Bar Complaint Dept. Should be contracted to a private citizen board since "self regulation" is a sham.
