Backstage newspaper/magazine directed toward actors is a complete ripoff as far as subscriptions and casting notices are concerned. Their subscription cancellation and refund policy sucks. They refuse to return money you paid them even if you only use less than two weeks of the year you paid for. They don't care!
Their casting notices also suck. You're far better off going online at actorsaccess.com - you'll get more notices more quickly than the crap they post at Backstage.com. 99% of everything you see is nonunion so paying for this garbage if you're union is even a bigger mistake - don't do it.
What a complete disappointment and what's worse is their holier than thou attitude if you complain.
Lastly, the contact form on their own website doesn't work and the website itself is hard to navigate. Total garbage and a big waste of money. Never again.
