First of all I would like to address the fact that I can not find proof of a non profit status. Yes they filed for one in Delaware in 1983, but as the state site says that does not mean it is active now. So I went over to the Irs site on non profit and found nothing. Not in the active not in the non active. So to make really sure I went to Guide star that has all the 990's and trys to have up to date on all non profits tax records They said they have no record of them, I even gave them the file number from the past, and it still came up, nothing. So I said this can't be right a big association like this, so I looked up the address on the web site instead of the corp site. This one is in Indiana and still no record. For this association I would like to help define a volunteer according to the FLSA, it defines service without compensation. How about non profit, an organization not for profit, and cannot benefit Any private member. So lets see, in my opinion and I am not an attorney, selling your expensive stuff in dealers rooms looks like compensation, but what do I no. It must be great to be you, the rest of us have to act like adults and follow laws. All of this is my personal opinion.
