I am not suprised at all to see that there are other complaints on this website about Jess Kline. I know from experience that he is a rip off. I cannot believe that some people are actually going for his scam. It is not just Jesse Kline either, there are a whole group of scam artist connected with Hollywood Auditions.
I recieved an email just like every other person on here did stating they had a few "spots" in my area and were interested in my talent. (Although they knew nothing about me, just my name, where I was located, and my email address) I did not believe this but I thought I would call and check it out. Someone answered and took my name and number and said Jesse would have to call me back. After about an hour he did, asked who I was, where I was from, what I was interested in doing, and kept telling me things like he could tell how passionate I was by my voice and how I had great energy. He told me he'd have to look and see how many spots were open in my area and after a couple minutes told me there were three and I would be a great addition to his company. He then proceeded in telling me to send in 5 pictures of myself and a resume. He also asked what I looked like and said he was very pleased with what he had heard so far. He then told me about the payment. He said for him to represent me for three years it would be 389 or three payments of one hundred and something. I knew this was a joke right then and there.
I am an experienced dancer and actor and have never had to pay for representation or auditions. The only thing that sounded normal to me was that he took a percentage of what we made. He said the spots were filling up quickly and the only way I could do it is if I paid him right now, and that would get me a client number and hold my spot. (He probably tells everyone they only have 3,5, 4 or however many spots) I continued to go along with him, and couldnt believe that outrageous things he was telling me. Like he's one of the top managers and so on, if thats true I still am wondering why I have never heard of his name besides on this website and hollywood auditions.
I told him I knew it was a scam, that I was experienced, and I would do all I could to warn aspiring talent about him and his company. He raised his voice, told me he did not care because I did not matter, told me he would never get shut down, told me to go to h*ll, and hung up on me. If people call that a good manager and a professional person I do not know what the world is coming to. I was not affected my Jesse's comments because I knew from the start this was probably another money hungry scam artist. How can someone be interested in you when they don't know your talents, haven't seen you or your resume and never talked with you in their life.
The only reason he is interested in people is money. Someone with no experience what-so-ever, the worst actor/actress/singer/model etc. Could be represented by him because he wouldn't care as long as he gets your money. For those of you who obviously don't know how this works, most REAL managers and agents want a resume and pictures, or even a personal meeting before they will even consider representing you. No way, is someone really wanting to represent someone for the right reasons based on nothing. Anyway, for all of you who will rebut this save your breath, I will not be checking my rebuttals as long as I know I've got the truth out.
