I met Marco Puente of Puente Productions on April 22nd 2012 at a restaurant where he held rehearsals for a charity benefit where he was chosen to organize a fashion show with kids from the ages of 5 to 17 years old, as I watched him teaching the kids the routine I was finding myself very uncomfortable with the way he talked to the kids, screaming and saying, "WHO IS THE MOTHER OF THIS KID, SHE'S DOING IT WRONG" and also screaming "I'M NOT GETTING PAID FOR THIS, YOU'RE NOT GETTING THIS AND IF YOU CAN'T DO IT I WILL GET DIFFERENT KIDS" he was actually saying this to the kids and the parents, it was awful.
After rehearsal he asked me to give him a ride to another dance studio where he held more rehearsals for the teenage kids which is where my daughter comes in, she was one of the models in the teenage group, while driving over there, he asked me how he did and I replied, that I thought he was really rough on the kids and it was obvious he was not use to working around kids, he listened and seemed to understand what I was saying, after we arrived to the studio, he asked me to buy him a pack of cigarettes, mind you, I've known him all of 30 min.
Two days later, the woman who provided about 15 of the kids, had her own rehearsal and invited Marco to come and have an extra rehearsal, she wanted her kids to have more practice and be prepared, Marco agreed, this practice seemed to go really well, myself and other mothers helped him a bit to make it less stressful for Marco and the kids, it seemed to work:)
Moving forward to showtime, my daughter was scheduled to wear an outfit from all 4 designers, she is 15 years old, when we got to the show, Marco kept leaving, there was no outfits for my daughter, so one of the designers gave me an outfit to put on my daughter, well I did not like the outfit and I told the designer so, it was not appropriate for a 15 year old, it is my right as the parent of a minor to make the decision what my daughter will or will not wear, instead of the designer finding something else for her, she told me how rude I was and said my daughter would wear nothing of hers, that's not how a person in the business would reply, even if I was the rudest mother, a professional would find another outfit, fit the minor and move on.
My daughter had just recently done a commercial for Target, I will explain why I bring this up in a bit.
After my incident with the designer, Marco finally shows up, and walks up to my daughter where there was a room full of about 35,40 kids, hair dressers and make up artists, and screams at the top of his lungs to everyone, "IF ANYONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOTHES, COME TO ME AND NOT THE DESIGNERS, " which is great, but he kept disappearing, then he turns to my daughter, and says "AND YOU, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO WALK, YOU NEED TO LEAVE THIS PROPERTY RIGHT NOW, I DON'T CARE WHO THE F*CK YOU ARE, TAKE YOUR TARGET A* OUT OF HERE, " remember, she is 15, really? Other children were crying they were so scared how he was yelling at my daughter, keep in mind, this was a charity event for kids.
As my daughter and I were leaving, the police showed up, Marco called the police and lied, told them I hit him, something is seriously wrong with this guy, once the police talked to me they realized this guy was not dealing with a full deck. I informed the organization of what had taken place and they were very upset and apologized to me and my daughter and assured us he would not be asked back.
I also want to say, that if I were that rude to the designer, and I was NOT this is no excuse to treat a minor in this manor, Please BEWARE of Marco Puente of Puente Productions.
Please, Please, do not let this sketchy character around your children, my daughter was traumatized, and very embarrassed how he yelled at her in front of so many people.
