Sometime between August and September of I went in for an interview at this establishment called Coco Bar, a new-gay night club in the doral area of Miami Dade County. I saw the job posting on craigslist, so with good faith I came in search of a job opportunity with my friend.
I was given false hopes into a job opportunity that never came to light.
I passed out more than 200 flyers and my colleague informed me that he has two dollars for me because of the two people showed up to the club, with my invites, I told my friend, I think he owes me more than 2.00 dollars, this truly is a disrespect of ones time, character and abuse of ones trust.
I came in and volunteered with a friend, our services in exchange for a job offer during the night clubs debut. We cleaned, put primer tape, lifted things, tolerated being a dusty, dry and hot room with no air conditioning. We did not receive food, drinks, or gas reimbursement for our time.
