Scam operation contacts people in the news and claims they are from the Bio Channel and would like to cover your story on an upcoming show related to your topic. The short story is that shows like Bio don't ask you to cover production costs for the story, in this case $29,300 plus $3000 in travel costs.
There were reds flags; 1. He is based in FL not NY or LA, the TV hubs. 2. The 'company' phone was answered by VM. 3. His email was technically shoddy looking without the famous "Bio" logo.
