Two months ago myself and a couple dozen actors where hired through our respective agents for a Gatorade commercial filmed in Miami with Marquee Casting (ne Brad Davis) as the casting agent for the client. The pay was quoted at $200 for 12 hours work.
Now, the checks finally come in and Marquee Casting comes up short paying only $125 for the day. My agent says that this is not the first time that Marquee Casting as re-nigged on actor pay.
Marquee Casting (ne Brad Davis) knows he can get away with this as he places his orders with the various talent agencies verbally. The talent agents must start demanding written pay agreements.
I for one will never work on a Brad Davis casting again because of the "skimming' going on.
