I called Thoroughbred racing a few times to get some horse racing tips. The first few were very good. A few weeks later, I got a call from a guy called Paul Skelton and Andrew. They promised to make me thousands of dollars with their insider information. They pitched hard and heavy and before I knew it, I agreed to pay them $2600.00 for daily tips.
The tips were TERRIBLE. I soon was told that "Andrew" was doing the handicapping and the insider information would cost even more money. I knew I was a sucker so did not follow through on this. After awhile, I did my own handicapping and did better but still would get constant calls from Andrew and Paul. It was to the point of harrassment. I still get calls from them and I don't answer. They want more money. They even get other people to call for them and say they have all this fab information for me.
The whole situation was really embarrassing. I haven't told anyone about it because when a person looks back on it, it's easy to point it out as a scam. But these people are real talkers.
Sooo, I've learned to let the money go and chalk it up to a lesson. I'll pay it off. Just don't want anyone else to be stupid. These people are creeps w/o a conscience so it's no use to even make them see your points. You just have to hang up the phone or avoid them all together. BTW, they didn't ruin my love for horses and going to the track now and again as a pastime.
