Client: Alex Vargas - Broken Bones Pictures contracted out services by a signed contract for post-editing video files for a movie project to be presented at a theater in Orlando-Florida on May 15. Movie: The Cabin "Never Talk to Outsiders". We provided the edited and finalized film material to our client and the movie played successfully at the Orlando Cineplex 24 Cinema on May 15 in front of a large audience. At that time, client provided us with a final payment in the form of a check which was required in order to closed the contracted project for post-editing such film. The following day, once the movie premiere had taken place with such luxurious amenities such as: limos, red carpet, food and beverages for all VIP guests who attended the world premiere of the movie "The Cabin, Never Talk to Outsiders...", we came across a situation that has not yet been resolved. Client did NOT had the funds available for the last payment on this contract. Client did not offer to arrange a partial payment for the due balance.
As of today, client was given options to make partial payments. We provided a final invoice which gave client, Alex Vargas a final total amount due. Once we had provided client with all high-definition video files on May 15 we included a movie files transferred to an external hard drive plus a master DVD copy of the movie "The Cabin". Client Alex Vargas, Broken Bones Pictures, has not made any intentions of paying us for the due balance and he withholds all final movie files. Client has proven to be irresponsible and has bridged a video post-editing contract. Client is trying to pursue on wanting to promote, sell and present the movie in other states within the United States as well as other places such as: Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. We have not yet provided client with a few required legal release authorizations for music soundtracks edited during the movie, art, graphic and photography material.
BE AWARE: If working with Broken Bones Pictures, Alex Vargas, make sure your money is collected up-front. Do not take any post-dated checks and when doing business with this independent film company, collect your final payment in the form of a Certified Bank's Check or Money Order to ensure your money is available. Client has a high expectations and his demands for production is more than what they are whiling to pay. If dealing with Broken Bone Pictures, you will notice client wants the jobs to get done fast and to have delivery of the production on time but if you do more than what's expected and if you are not "smart" you will not get your final payment. Our advice is do what's on the contract and if they require more than what's proposed, charge and collect up-front.
As of right now, we hold all rights to movie tracks used on the final post editing job for the movie, graphic art release and copyright materials including photography material provided and the ownership of the movie's domain name: www.moviethecabin.com
