I went to make a purchase and had a gift card from Newport News from a previous refund when I joined their club. It was for $25.00. I tried to get the gift card go through online while trying to make my purchase but it would not go through. So I called the company and made my purchase over the phone. I told them I could not get the gift card to work online. It said it was an invalid number. The customer sales lady told me on the phone that it was expired. There was no date on the slip at all. She said she would talk to my manager and see if we could still use it. She came back on the phone and said sure. She took the rest of my information and a credit card information as well for the rest of the purchase. My card was charged the whole amount. I then called back once I got the merchadise and receipt.
When I called back I had to tell the whole story again and then she said sure it was our mistake I see the notes her we will send it to our credit department and they will credit you in 3 to 5 days. I waited 7 days and there was still no credit to my account. I called back... Talk to someone else and she said they were not going to credit my account. I called back to talk to a manager and he said absolutely they would not credit it. I would never have ordered it in the first place if it was not for the gift card. Every time I look at what I purchased I think of the crap I went through and calls I made and the worst customer service I have dealt with. I only wanted what they said they would do. It is all over $25.00
