I worked under Mark Morgan for almost a year while he was "CEO" of the 3 person company, Maverick Films. As a meagerly compensated assistant I was living paycheck to paycheck, which he knew - yet never once in that ten months was my paycheck on time. Many points they were weeks late and any grovelling was either met with lies or an absolute outburst (usually in an attacking or personal nature) by Mark. It finally came to a head in early of 2008 when we were hadn't been paid once for the year and it was the second week of February (he owed all the assistants 3 checks) and he disapeared, was unreachable, yet continued to allow his personal assistant to dip into the petty cash and buy smokes and candy for himself. I had to quit that job with no prospects lined up because I couldn't take the lies any longer. That was a Friday and the following Monday he called trying to make nice and apologize, I told him I'd be reporting his company to the Labor board (per advice I was given from someone who'd been down this road with Mark before) and literally 2 hours later all the money due to me was in my account.
