Bouncers R US hired me for their bounce-house and inflatables business. On the phone after I was hired, the owner had told me that he would start me at $9 an hour. I was thrilled and agreed. I talked to the owner again the same day and he wanted to meet me in person for a "real" interview that day. I went in and during a nice interview, he told me he would go ahead and pay me $10 an hour.
After only one day of work (friday) and during the weekend I had to move out of town. I called the owner's assistant and told him I wouldn't be back and that I was sorry. I went in to Bouncers R Us the following week and picked up my one day's paycheck. To my surprise, my pay rate was $5.75 an hour, minimum wage. I called the owner and asked him what happened. He told me that he never agreed to any pay rate and that he never told me $9 or $10 an hour.
After a heated exchange and realization he would not pay me what was owed, I was furious and gave him a piece of my mind over the phone, then hung up on him. This guy's horrible and shouldn't be trusted. I have also seen him scream at employees on my only day of work there. I wouldn't recommend dealing with this company.
