Beware of rip off!
My daughter and friend rented scooters and were immediately pulled over by California Cycle Staff because they 'broke the rules' for passing on the right and were escorted back and both lost their $90 deposit. Funny thing is they were following another company employee who was passing on right! As I checked into company I ran across several similar complaints (see email link below). I then contacted BBB and discovered they have an "F" rating with BBB!

I talked to a security guard down there and he told us it's all a HUGE ripoff. They take the deposit then when the scooter or whatever is brought back they find a reason to keep the deposit saying it's scratched or whatever (when the damage was actually there before it was rented but no one ever looks). THEN they file an insurance claim and get the money to buy new parts or to repair the scooters. SO, they're getting money from the insurance companies and they're keeping everyone's deposits too but not replacing or repairing the parts that are supposedly damaged. That's how they make their money.
