I came across a internet company called www.latestDVD9.com, which offers new release movies at discount prices, before they are released in England. I checked this site out and read some reviews on it and it seemed to be coatia... Or so I thought.
I ordered almost 40 worth of stuff which included shipping in this price. That was on 26th February '09. After waiting the elapsed time for shipping I never received my goods. Upon e-mailing this 'company' on 19/03/09 to ask what's going on, they replied that the order was considered 'lost' in transit and that it was re-sent 3 days previous and I should get it in 10 days time.
This response got me wondering how they knew it was lost if I had only just e-mailed them the same day about my goods, and why no-one from administration contacted me to let me know what was going on if it had been shipped 3 days prior to this e-mail? A usual response from a company would be that it could still be in the u. K mail system so wait a couple of days and if it hasn't turned up, contact us for a replacement or refund.
I e-mailed the company again yesterday (31/03/09) to ask what the hell is going on and not to insult me with lame excuses as I'm not stupid (well until I came across this company!) and that If I don't receive my goods or a refund by friday 3rd April, I will take this matter up with the relevant body i. E TRADING STANDARDS.
After I made this threat I have suddenly received an e-mail from them again, saying that the goods will be here by this Saturday (04/04/09). My deadline was Friday not Saturday and I do not accept this, as I feel it is just another attempt to stall, as the goods aren't really coming at all.
I have looked up this company on the 'net' for bad reviews and found loads. A couple actually on this site. I believed that it is based in Australia, but have since found out that the domain name for the site is based in Malaysia. Reports that it is a pirate site.
What annoys me is that there is not contact telephone number or registered address, and the company that latestdvd9 used to take my money doesnt seem to exist either as there is no contact details for this (buy-secure.com)
This 'company' needs a stop putting to it FULL STOP.
