Do NOT fall into the trap with McKenna Model & Talent. When you call them, they tell you that they do not charge. They invite you in to an open call and in their presentation state that you should not pay for representation. Then they tell you that you must purchase headshots from Jackie McKenna's husband (this is a FAMILY business, after all) for $495. She said they are giving a price break to boost the economy.
I went to get headshots from a reputable studio one week ago for $250 and they are great! When told that I had professional shots, she said that she would judge them. I was told that they would be accepted, but because of my experience, we had to pay $795 to enroll in Fusion, which is a model search with supposed agents and managers in attendance who will scout for talent. There are no confirmed attendees, nor guarantee of placement. This is a total rip-off!
I was told that only the cream-of-the-crop are invited to this event, but this is not true. You should never have to pay up-front to go in front of an agent or casting director. McKenna Model & Talent is fraudulant and should not be in business. They crush the dreams of hopeful children and make their money by feeding into a parents notion that their child is the best. They also use DWTS Julianne Hough on their collateral material, but I would like to know if she would credit McKenna for her current success? Doubtful!!!
