Mike Thomas claims to have a "christian' agency... Its all a crock. Plenty of others and I have been ripped off... He tells you to pay money for comp. Cards, and you never see them... Jobs always fall through and he acts like an 'agent' when really, you can look up these auditions ONLINE. This man is a known fraud in Rockford Illinois where his first know *to me and my family* "agency" was located in the old YWCA building... Fashion shows would always fall through, events, etc...
He actually had a setup in the mall to find me... A photographer there, he was there *mike* and info about his 'agency'...
He owes me upwards of 300.00 plus at least 10 other girls that much. He screwed over his makeup artist, photographer, and staff. I can refer you to his old office assistant, for she is the only one that will have anything to do with this MESS anymore.
He is on myspace for downtyme'dolls'... He is trying to start agencies on the west coast. He always claims christianity and no lip service. Police in this area would not do anything because it was told to us that 'it would cost more to pursue him as he is 'on the run' and we cannot produce bounced checks'.
Mike sent me a couple checks that bounced... Luckily one we didnt try and cash, we ran into a very nice bank attendant on the phone who nicely asked us for his acct # and said.."I cannot tell you information on his acct to a point, however I can at least tell you if you're check will clear.." we told her the amount and she said with regret, "ma'am, that check would definately not go through, and that is all I can say".. Everytime he gets a new office his phonelines are 'getting worked on', or something is going on with the jacks, etc...
He will say us local girls are trying to ruin him etc, he even had his assistant email me once as I tried to expose him, and she said "in other words, get over it"...
Do not trust mike *michael*thomas. Or anyone that has anything to do with him or downtyme. The staff never knows its a scam til last minute, and who knows, maybe the new staff does...
Hes a terrible terrible man. I literally ran his classes for teaching 'runway' with my 3 years Barbizon training... I taught the girls poise. I tried to keep everyone 'together'...
Hell, even Michelle Williams from destiny's child's sister got scammed into this! Yes! My mom sat with Michelle's mom the day that her daughter had a 'shoot' in the studio... Michelle was very cold to us however, I see now why. She probably saw right through the crap. I dont know how to get into contact with them anymore, but her family =good people. Michelle represents christian music, etc... Mike claims it, but is the literal devil in disguise.
I would never, ever say these things just to say them. Hell, I dont even want my money back unless I can for sure get it knowing there was justice served to OTHERS; NOT JUST ME. I do not want anyone else to get scammed. Even if hes not taking their money... TIME is money. What about the girls who are brought in by their parents for 'meetings', what about them? What about the peoples dreams he crushed just to get money?
Do not trust this man. If there is ONE THING you do today while reading this, TRUST ME. Please.
He has websites on, myspace, and as far as I am aware. He will say *knowing I am the one in the past who has tried to help other people out with his crap* that I am a 'failed talent, who is jealous that she cannot find work outside of her area*
Let me tell you& I can get whatever work I want, just not in high fasihon. What Mike is waiting for is someone to go to one of those auditions he finds online, etc, and to HIT IT BIG. So he can look good. HES RIDING ON THE COAT-TAILS OF PURE 'LUCK'.
