I strongly do not recommend Solid Gold Sound.
We had to send them our song list three times, because they kept misplacing it. They will not send you a contract or anything else in writing. Despite constant phone calls, a video person was not assigned to our wedding until the day before.
Our biggest complaint is that half of the reception video footage is completely unwatchable. The video and audio both skip badly. I have made 6 phone calls to John to try and fix the video or get a refund. Every time I call he acts as if he has never talked with me, despite the fact that I have been calling him twice a week for the last 3 weeks. They outsource the video editing, and that person outsourced to another person. John claims that he has no way of getting in touch with his editors. He has never once called me back, despite saying that he would.
The only good think I can say about the company is that the DJ was good. Although I think we just got lucky and it had nothing to do with Solid Gold Sound screening their DJ's.
Stay away from this company. No matter how cheap they may be, its not worth the hassle and you may not even get what you paid for.
