Apparently they are back under the name "Love Unlimited DJs"

First, if you are a DJ, NEVER EVER take work from them. You won't get paid.

Here is the email I received...

Hi Mr. Casey-

My name is Amanda Craig-Newquist, and I was recently scammed by David Thomas and Diana Willis, formerly of Pinnacle / Let's Dance Productions. I read through the messages which you moderated on djsourceonline.com, started by Aimee Webster's plea for you to get the word out. I have been in touch with Aimee and with another woman whose daughter was scammed by these DJs on her wedding day in South Carolina. These two con artists are currently working under a new "business" name — Love Unlimited DJs. I believe that your hard work spreading the word about their scams made it so difficult for them to get work that they had to change their name to be able to continue to "work". The problem is—there is no way for consumers to connect their horrible reputation with the name and address of their new venture. I just wanted to send you my story and share all of the information I've gathered (some of which was through your postings, which I appreciate) in hopes that you might be willing and able to help get the word out about David and Diana once more. I know that I won't get my money or my wedding reception back at this point, but I really want to do everything I can to stop anyone else from falling victim to their scams.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration

~Amanda Craig-Newquist

Love unlimited djs — scamming people since 2001

NUMBER OF CON ARTISTS: 2 (David Thomas and Diana Willis)

NUMBER OF COMPANY NAMES: 3 (at least - Pinnacle Entertainment, Let's Dance Productions and, most recently, Love Unlimited DJs)

Number of states they've scammed from: 11 (sc, ga, tx, ca, md, va, nj, ny, tn, wv, de... And possibly more!)

Number of people scammed/events ruined: countless

Despite the fact that we had paid for our DJ and Video services in full, Diana Willis and David Thomas of Love Unlimited DJs called me just hours before my wedding reception on August 4 to explain that our DJ had cancelled. They blamed my husband and I for this, telling us to "read our contract" and offering no other answers. They couldn't fulfill the Video portion of our contract, but promised that they had a replacement DJ for our event.instead of spending the day getting pampered and feeling like a princess, I spent the entire day crying, on and off the phone with the DJs, trying to make sure that they were still coming and had our music requests.

As final decorations of our venue were being done and still no DJ had arrived, my husband called them again. David Thomas screamed into the phone at both my husband and his best man. He wouldn't give us any answers. Minutes before the reception, we faced the fact that we would have no DJ. We scrambled to get some cds, but the reception was already tainted.

The day after the reception, Diana promised us that our payment would be returned. After waiting two weeks without receiving a refund of our payment, we responded honestly about our experience to a request from Google Checkouts, the company through which we'd sent our payments, for feedback on Love Unlimited DJs as a vendor.

David and Diana responded to our reviews with claims that we had violated our contract. They claimed that we'd caused the DJ to feel a "real or implied threat" by sending in song and emcee requests, then contacted us personally promising not to return our payment because of our reviews.

After that threat, we filed a suit with small claims court in Burlington County, as per the address given on our contract (despite the fact that their website gives an NYC address, we thought we'd stick with the address given on their "legal" document.)

On September 14, as we were preparing for our September 17 court date, we received notice from the court that Love Unlimited DJs was not at that address. We had received the same information from New Jersey's Better Business Bureau, stating that we could therefore not file a complaint.

While searching their website for another address on September 20 Diana messaged me in the "Live Chat" window. She claimed that they were watching and tracking me, and posted personal information about me and about my computer into the window as a threat. She kept demanding that I call, and I finally gave in.

I spoke with David on the morning of September 20, at which point he explained that he had always planned to return our payment. He blamed their aggressiveness on my actions, claiming that he was only defensive because we were attempting to ruin his reputation. He explained that they had no previous complaints, and he promised to refund our payment if I would remove those negative reviews.

I then spent over a month persistently working with Google Checkouts to get those reviews taken off of the profile for Love Unlimited DJs, believing that it was simply a one-time error and hopeful that we would at least get our money back after the horror of our wedding reception.

When they were removed on October 22, I contacted David and Diana to make them aware of the removal and to arrange return of our payment. I tried multiple times to contact them since that date, but received no response to any of these attempts. They did not show any willingness to refund our payment as promised after getting what they wanted from us.

In the meantime, I received another letter from New Jersey's Better Business Bureau, stating that Love Unlimited DJs had contacted them regarding our complaint with their new address in Delaware. I was informed that the case in NJ was officially closed. They included a document which had been faxed to them, which had the company name "Pinnacle" on it and a fax number.

After receiving that letter, I did some research on "Pinnacle" in conjunction with the names "David Thomas" and "Diana Willis". I found link after link and complaint upon complaint against these individuals.

I had not seen these complaints when I researched Love Unlimited DJs before I hired them, because the complaints are connected to other company names and addresses that these David and Diana have used throughout the years. They were very believable in all of our communications before the event as truly dedicated and kind individuals who wanted to make my event special. They have truly perfected the art of scamming people out of their money — especially brides. Here are just some of the complaints I found against them:

There are complaints within the DJ community, as DJs have been scammed by them as well:

I hadn't found the complaints and poor history with the Better Business Bureau for the same reasons. And apparently the BBB hasn't connected these scams either, as the complaints and investigations have taken place in different states whose BBB offices work separately from one another. One victim received a response from their state's BBB, stating that David and Diana had closed their business. Problem solved, allegedly. And yet they are still scamming people. Simple changes here and there are allowing them to get away with it, and preventing the national BBB from connecting these crimes.

* 11 complaints in this report — same excuse they gave me for not showing up.

Http://atlanta. BBB.org/WWWRoot/Repor... 3&firm=2000209

* Diana slightly changed her name for this "business", the phone number matches complaints for both Pinnacle Entertainment and Lets Dance Productions, under David Thomas and Diana Willis — one report is even in the same state, but because of the slight name change the companies aren't linked.

Http://www.data. BBB.org/scripts/cgii...? Zid=ZHLjGlKfM

* Here they changed their phone number from 877 to 888, so the this reports isn't easily connected to the two in NJ, and Diana also took David's last name according to the BBB records — another way to distance themselves from past complaints.

Because Love Unlimited DJs informed New Jersey's BBB that they were now located in Delaware, I was told to pursue my complaint in that state. The woman assigned to my case really didn't seem to care. She told me that I was not their only NJ complaint, but that having a couple complaints is not unusual. I tried to explain their history and let her know that these individuals' names would produce negative BBB reports in other states if she'd only check, but she simply explained that my case was closed as far as she was concerned and I'd need to talk to Delaware's BBB if I wanted to try to do anything at all.

That interaction didn't make me feel very hopeful that these criminals will be caught. The fact that they've been caught before, had special TV programs run about them as "con artists" in at least one state, had investigations run in several states and are STILL doing this doesn't make me feel very hopeful either. But I am not willing to go down without a fight. If nothing else, I want to make it a little bit harder for them. Get the information out there and have one less bride get scammed because of it. Or at least try. To be honest, I am a bit intimidated by the fact that these people have our home address, our IP and other personal and computer information. I'm not sure if they can hack into our computer with that, but we do know that they're pretty slick with internet scams and I wouldn't put it past them — especially now that I am trying to put the word out about their scams.

It should not be okay for these crooks to reopen "business" and continue scamming people with a simple change of address and a possible new company name. I know that I will never get my wedding reception or my payment for their services back, but I can and will do whatever I can to prevent any other brides from being scammed by David Thomas and Diana Willis. Beware of these two individuals under any company name or address.

Unfortunately, I found that I am not the first to fall prey to their scams. My only hope is that I will be the last.
