A couple of years ago Regal Cinemas sold a soda pop cup called the Regalator which if you bought one you were gaurunteed lifetime pop refills in it for $1.00. It was a nice looking hard molded cup with a screw on top and a twist open cap that a straw could be put through. It was made of a thick plastic and there was no way to break this cup unless you were to jump on it, it would easily last a lifetime.
They switched from Pepsi to Coke and now they made us change our cups (which had a small pepsi logo on it) to a very cheap plastic cup that you could get at any store with a regalator logo. The cup has no molded lid, no sturdyness, it will not last. The problem that I have is that they forced me to switch to a substandard replacement of a cup and if it cracks (as all of these will eventually) they have no procedure or replacement program. When I purchased the cup I looked at it as a deal since it was made so well that it would last me for many many years, but now they made me change to another cup that is not the same deal as I originally bought.
It was like taking in your Lexus to get an oil change and they give you back a Yugo. The cup will not last as long. I have written them at Regal several times and I get someone who relays messages from other people. I think they should replace a strong cup with a strong cup, or let us keep the old ones.
