Chase took our insurance impounds then refused to pay the $600 / year insurance, replacing it with a lesser $2,000 / year policy. Then Chase raised our tax impounds $300/month because it said our taxes went up when they were actually reduced, and refused to receive our regular payment. This forced us into a modification Chase gave us. Chase then refused our 3rd mod. Payment - we finally paid it through the modification department later that month when all other departments in Chase refused it; afterwards Chase sent us a Notice of Default after they breached the terms of their ownr mod. Agreement. I sent a "Notice of Intent to File Lawsuit" for their contract breaches and was assigned to a private attorney John Sorich of Adorno, Yoss, Alvarado and Smith (California), who have jerked me around now for 2-1/2 years promising me a reasonable modification, but just sent me ones that required $13,000 down and raised my "principal" around $30,000 even though the original loan documents had a balloon rider to pick up any unpaid interest, fees, penalties, etc. At end of loan, as Chase tried to add another $160,000 balloon payment to be paid after loan is paid in full! Now they just sent me a Notice of Default (mailed 5/18) and claim I did not participate in their modification process! Is there any decent, moral and honest attorney out there that can fight this for me? If so, please contact me as soon as possible. I am disabled, bedridden 4-5 days a week, and no where to go if Chase forecloses despite the fact I have wanted to repay my entire loan but just wanted the interest reduction Chase had initially offered.
