We have been trying to get a defective warped closet door replaced for 2 YEARS! It was defective when installed and it took Elegant Entry 6 months to send someone out to inspect it. The service department who inspected advised he had to discuss with his boss to see if they would repair or replace. How do you repair a warped door? We paid close to $3000 for these doors nd expect a replacement. Another person was sent out and confirmed the door was defective. We heard nothing further nor would we receive any return calls. I have been complaining to them for months. Oh, how can they respond when all you receive is answering machines? Larry from the Service Dept. Is never in, never answers or returns calls. He is on vaction every time I call. I would like to know how I can get a job like that. I persisted in complaining and previously filed a complaint on Measured Up. Immediately after we received a call from the sales department who made an appointment over this summer to inspect the door... Again and advised they would replace! Unfortunately, we misplaced his card when we were renovating my husband's office so we are back to square one. I called again and asked to speak with an executive. I was transferred to Gary Arcieri and what a surprise, his answering machine. I made my case and that afternoon, Larry's assistant called and advised Larry was out (what else is new?) but would call the next day. That was two weeks ago. Still waiting for Larry's return call. Tuesday, 11/16/10, I again called Gary Arcieri and got his voice mail... Nothing new. No return call, as usual. I cannot believe this company does not respond and after inspecting our defective door 3 times, it still has not replaced. The door remains unpainted since it would only rub the paint off since it rubs on the other door when opened and looks ridiculous in our bedroom. Elegant Entries is the most unprofessional and irresponsible company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. They are quick to take your money and when they send you a defective product they cleary do not stand by their inferior workmanship. Their customer service skills are deplorable and they have no common decency to even acknowledge or return a call. I am hoping this complaint will prompt a response and I do not think asking for 2 years to replace a defective door they installed is unreasonable. If they do not take action, we will ahve no choice but to take legal action against them. Shame on you, Elegant Entries.
