I must say that I totally disagree with the earlier reviewer. I rent homes in the Hamptons every summer, and I have never found a site for this better than HREO.com. The site is very information-rich, providing a level of detail that is impossible to find elsewhere. It also has the latest technology, so you can see satellite images and take virtual tours of the properties—and it is all in flash, which means it runs very smoothly. Personally, I also like the relaxed, beautiful feel of the site—it is not cold or pretentious like some other real estate sites. Also, in many years I have never been seriously misled by one of the postings— clearly the listings are updated regularly and considering the richness of the content the overall reliability is excellent when compared with other real estate sites. I think the earlier reviewer had a misfortune by encountering one bad listing—but as an HREO enthusiast for years, I can recommend from experience that he or she shouldn't let that spoil home searching fun on HREO! The site has benefited me in many ways over the years—not least because I am able to do "one stop shopping" and do not have to keep switching between search engines with varying levels of information and realtors to find a comprehensive set of information-rich listings.
