Some older people i know breed small dogs, they had dogs exotic birds and chickens and ducks, long story short they was raided by brunswick county and spca of wake. Two days before the "raid" the ac in the ac unit for the house they had puppys in died for some "unknown reason" the raid was planned for the next week but they raided a week early due to the dogs condtions they said. But funny thing is it was right after the ac had died outta the blue! Well when they raided them the homeowner was working on the ac... Long story short they was charged with animal cruilty 1.5 mill bail on the husband and wife each, one of the reason they screamed animal cruilty was "no ac" spca took all dogs and exotic birds... But left over 30 chickens and 6 ducks locked up with no food!!! Guess they wasnt worth enough money, i had to go rescue them myself, btw i have pics the kennels was clean with food and water, fans a roof and even bug zappers. Guess all those adoption fees will add up to some nice profit
