I am an independent company focusing on odesk & Charities of Wish set employment on odesk seeking anyone to kind up a manuscript.
I used on the Wednesday & Siobhan Becker replied to my software.
We messaged back & forth & I wasnot very certain if she was another separate company who was harvesting out this function or what, as her Language wasnot clear sometimes.
I said I needed to determine the publishing, because they stated it had been difficult to study. I needed to understand easily might do the job.
She sent me a PDF sample. I told them I really could do the job not a problem, there can be several phrases below or there that require clarification.
I informed her I'd begin with one-hour & observe how several websites I really could have completed for the reason that period of time. I expected her to send me more websites, when I realized I'd cope with over 2 within an hour.
She said ok, sent them & I believed she would honor me the task, but I never heard back from her.
The problem was they'd a contract of Friday & I had been hectic on Thursday & told them-this. I'd desired to begin on Wednesday therefore the function could be completed by their contract. Clearly any modifications would need to be achieved on Friday.
I'd to direct Siobhan to honor me the task. I had been again, unclear if she understood what she was performing on odesk or she was attempting to proceed away from conditions & problems by not going right through odesk, but abruptly at 10:30 pm she granted me the task.
I goto begin function & the task is not turning up in my own timer, and so I needed to spend some time speaking with odesk to discover that which was happening. Works out Siobhan had managed to get therefore the work did not begin before 6th which may have now been on Friday. I really couldnot do any work with another 6 hours. Odesk explained to inform her to fix the issue, and so I did. This whole period I am holding out for Siobhan. I told Siobhan that it had been receiving delayed & I needed to begin the job.
Siobhan writes me back sending me the notice she got stating that I'd been granted. It mentioned immediately that it generally does not begin before 6th. I stated, "she's incorrect." I had been mistaken convinced that Siobhan had approached odesk & it was their reaction. Siobhan then vanished. After waiting another 2 hours on her I eventually quit & named it a night.
Wednesday after I returned from my chores, Siobhan had terminated the task with no term, apology, clarification, nothing.
I've not a problem having a business not employing me because itis their option. I actually donot have an issue being questioned as that is my obligation to provide it-my all.
What I've an issue with are impolite people & my time being lost. I taken care of these faxes in the future through. I dropped about 3 hours of my period holding out for Siobhan to repair the error, speaking with odesk, & her building me watch for her earlier within the morning. Had I gotten the task, not a problem, I'd have consumed the full time, but these activities are not skilled or respectful of others. This isn't the way you handle people.
