Registration on 6EXE766 was due 12/20. I paid $242.00 via Wells Fargo online bill pay 12/05, and had the veh. Smogged on 12/09. On 01/02 having not received tags or reg, I inquired with AAA as to the veh. Status. AAA advised not registered per DMV. I contacted Wells Fargo who affirmed that $242.00 was paid via online bill pay to DMV. I then made copies of the proof, email correspondence and a letter advising DMV of their problem. That was 3 weeks ago! I again checked with AAA as to my veh's status and again am advised the vehicle is not currently registered. I have received nothing from DMV other than a now delinquent registration notice for nearly $400. I can't get a person on the phone and don't have a whole day to spend at DMV. Whats my next step?
