The Austin-area (and I think Texas-wide) toll road billing company, TxTag, charges $1 per month fee for a printed statement. We only have an account for occasional use and this fee was not disclosed when the account was established, it is not disclosed on their web site, and it is very difficult to switch from the printed statement to online statements. I suspect many others are unaware of this fee, which can be a significant fraction of the total bill if you are not a regular toll road user.
If TxTag wishes to do business ethically, in my opinion online accounts should be the default at sign-up.
