The Saguaro Foundation is ruled via one dictating family, Familia Castro headed by Edwardo Castro only superceded by his dictator Michael VanGuilder. Nov 6th I was hired as a temp maintenance man through Edwardos word. I was to train as a residential aide in approximately two weeks thus leaving the maintenance section. My duties was two-fold in the maintenance field, first being a general maint. Man and second, offer guidance and assistance to the current full time maintenance workers. At the first event involving guidance on or about 26 Nov. I recommended that two of the other employees change their painting techniques to one that would eliminate at least a week of unnecessary time and labor costs.
Their responce was to cry to the boss and accuse me of threating their job possitions. A young mexican boy of 17 or 18 had been translating my suggestions to an older man of 45 or so in Spanish since the older person didn't speak a word of English. One very important fact is that every one of my statements translated to the old man bt the young boy in Spanish, lead to a "councelling" to me by my boss. Because of this, I was labeled as a rambunctious and obnoxious individual.
Nov. 22 I was advised to pay attention to the politics of Saguaro by Edwardo Castro because I chose not to waste company time and materials on a leaking water faucet at his personal rental house located at 221 W. 21st Pl.in Yuma.
Jan. 9 I was told to keep my nose out of a complaint that I filed against Edwardos sister Judy Castro who fills a possition of food stamp and client funds director (right out of high school). A client by the name of Ken P. Filed a formal complaint to myself about Judy refering to him as "stupid" and "a Dummy" which is a direct violation of Arizona State Code ARS 36-569; The incident never went before the Asst. Director which is also a policy procedure of Saguaro and there-fore the incident was swept under the carpet by Edwardo, his wife Guadalupe (personel Director) and a close peer Kristen Parker (director of Operations). A fact to be identified at this time is that all violations of ARS 36-569 are to be handled as class 2 misdemeanors.
Jan. 11 (11PM-Mid.) had to purchase groceries out of pocket for 5 clients I was tending to at 2783 Mary Ave due to the fact that the house was completely void of any food substances at all. This is particularly disturbing since Judy castro, as well as the Group Home Manager (Lily Boulanger), failed to see that the house was properly stocked w / adequate substances. Especially since Judy is the food stamp coordinator! A second instance in which she failed to complete her duties which resulted in a deliberate case of physical abuse as defined under ARS 36-569. As in the case involveing her abusing the clients verbally, her actions were again swept under the carpet by Kristen Parker and I was again advised to keep my nose out of affairs that did not pertain to me. My possition during these events was "residential aide" tending to the clients that were in my custody.
Jan. 18/19 My coworker and myself uncover in excess of 30 medication distribution violations. This means that in excess of 30 mood altering and diabetic drugs either dissapeared, or ended up in the wrong hands. The parties involved were; Victor Olivas, Maria Beltran, Fred Castro, and it was later discovered that my own coworker had screwed up a medication dispensing. All of these individuals are personal friends to Guadalupe Castro or Kristen Parker. Kristen Parkers solution to these gross violations was to create new and accurate medication sheets which reflects total compliance with the county and State Department of Developemental Disabilities (DDD). I in fact have copies of the original medication sheets reflecting the errors that were covered up by Kristen Parker. After bringing this issue to Kristen Parkers attention, I was again told to keep my mouth shut! If I were to ever come across such an instance again. I WILL take it to Kristen directly, no one else!
Jan. 26 I had to purchase groceries out of pocket for the second time. These accustions of my purchases are in fact reality and can be verified through the pay dispersing clerk (Mary Bradford) whom included the reimbursements in my final seperation pay check.
Jan. 26 Following a two hour grueling and nerve wracking incident which involved my coworker antagonizing a client, I finally lost my patients and told Michelle that I would no longer protect her from the clients onslaughts if she could not keep her mouth shut, I was going to let the client just kick her ass the next time because I was not hired by Saguaro to be her personal body guard!
Jan. 27 I not only filed the incident report for the Sunday morning activities, I filed a complaint against my coworker for sleeping on the job. Our possition was three nights a week, 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM (12 hour overnight shifts). Sleeping on the job also is a direct violation of the clients rights under ARS 36-569.incidentally, Michelle had already been fired once before for the sleeping issue, but her close and personal friend Kristen Parker had had Michelles position reinstated by speaking in behalf of Michelle.
Jan. 28 I walked into the main office at 1495 S 4th Ave to turn in a bid for a side maintenance job for Saguaro at their request and was fired on the spot for "Creating a hostile environment and swearing at my coworker and in front of clients"
which in fact is two complete lies. I never denied the swearing, but where in Gods name did Guadalupe Castro and Kristen Parker come up with the "Hostile Environment"?
Since then, during several court phone appeals for unemployment which I have been denied all rights to because of Guadalupe and Kristens statement for cause of dismissal, I have had two US Judges in the State of Arizona (Judge Feltz and Judge Toland), tell me that the character of my accusers has no bearing in this case and that the court room is no place for Honesty, Integrity, Pride and Dignity. Yet I am required by the state of Arizona to "Swear to tell the truth and..." In addition to this, I have not been able to establish one job and that includes pizza delivery and dishwashing possitions because of Guadalupe and Kristens cause of dissmissal. For Christ sake, I have a wife who does work, but the burden has become astronomical especially since we have three children.
In addition to this, Since my "cause of dismissal", we are also not eligable for food stamps or any other assistance in the Sate of Arizona. Thank You for your consideration.
