I called the Law Office of Steve Pell to try to get a family filing for a guardianship. I am the only daughter of my mother. My mother seemed kind of dis-orientated saying things like they stole my money, now I'm broke, and the house is gone. I was concerned since the lady in her home had many tales to tell on other nurses that were stealing from my mother, and I reported each case to the P.D. All that I could do was try to hire an attorney to direct the funds back into her account and help manage her medical insurance and get her house back into her name without any gift signitures on it. And find out who put a lien on her home.
I went to an attorney that charged me 3500.00 for Title searches to all my mom's properties and sales of some. And her Medical Insurance was dropped at age 65 and never renewed so the nurses association put her on medicare and took her estate as collateral to get paid. I transferred a case closer to my mother's home and told the attorney's secretary about the 3500.00 previous fee so he said you have to pay us 3500.00 as well here. And he said you got ripped off by the other attorney the Title info was on the internet for free.
I sat down in the offices and while sitting there the intake person said you know I need 5,000.00 for this filing fee because we have to send for the previous attorneys case notes and we will call you for a consultation. That never happened we waited months before we could speak to a dis barred employee of the firm and he tried to build a bigger case by getting neighbors involved and having witnesses appear to testify. I said the neighbors that have complained are ambulatory themselves and they were just trying to find out why the nurses association had so much power as to sell my mom's furniture off and run her around the block in the street without shoes on in 30 degree weather. When I asked questions the nurses always said that is what we do in the Philipines, and if you have a problem with us ask Megan. We'll Megan is my youngest brother's ex wife from 30 years ago and she is now a born again christian and has an RN and works public safety as a welfare children's nurse. A good thing since she abandoned her only son to my parents control and then had two felony drug convictions and a assault charge on a peace officer slept with two of my brothers and then stole someones credit cards and went to jail many times in Santa Cruz Riverside and Ojai Ca. Regardless, I have to hand it to her for turning her life around because after surviving all of that she lost a kidney to cocainne abuse and survived. I can not pass judgement but she has a mother who is about the same age who needs her and she doesn't have any money.
So when I hired Steve Pell I asked that he remove the association from my mom's home so I could have a private nurse in her house without all of the association and the two nurses that were fired for stealing. My mother is too overwhelmed by Megan's complex life. And When I returned to her home last time the nurse pushed me out the door and said I was told by Megan not to let you in here anymore you try to control. Well being that she's from the Phillipines I guess she knows what control issues are about since Ms. Marcos had many shoes that's why they did not put any on my mother's feet in the snow when they walked her around at midnight. Being that I felt powerless about what to do for my mom I got angry and after spending 9,500.00 dollars on two attorneys who both kept the money and did not file a conservatorship. I felt that If I had offered more money to the dis-barred individual he might keep it again.
So I went to the VCBA and they decided that the attorney could keep the 5000.00 because he had a detective write up paperwork orders. Upon speaking with the dis barred employee he wanted to mediate after he said not too, and the arbitration costs me 200.00 in addition to that 5000.00 My mother's probably in a rest home by now. The charge nurse Megan Steffey, got angry and staged a vehicle accident to keep me away. Ironically, I was able to run the traffic collision names through a computer and it traced the accident back to them, she had Mark Steffey her husband, and a Ms Barminski from www.coastalresearchcenter. Should we give them an award? The attorney was in on the whole scenario.
He made an extra 75,000 being that he also kept a Trust that was in my mother's account from my grand mother to me. So all these people together work as a network on stinging elders and doing family interventions that are not necessary. I've never had a drug arrest and the only record I have is a few ten year old DUI's from 28 years of being a cocktail server, bartender, and food waitress. I was in college until they did an intervention that cost me two years out of school just one class shy of graduating with an associates degree. I really miss being able to see my family and this taught me a good lesson of street intelligence. If you just keep your mouth shut!!! And go forward.
Don't hire an attorney that asks for money before your consultation and get copies of everything contractual, bring the witness's that complained to his office, and get the police reports that were made. If the nurses association runs you over or off the road take kung fu and kick their a& before you call the police, and make it appear that their car crash caused their injuries. They hurt my dog very bad in the accident and he lost part of his vision. I wanted to take my dashboard to the perpetrators' office and show her what it feels like to hit a dashboard with your face, as my dog did. But I have self control so I let it that thought go. I do not need to be entrapped by these persons illicit activities I'd stay out of trouble and in school until I graduate. She is lucky that I have self control.
